It is crucial to have a team of supporters who accompany you before, during and after the Oxfam Peacewalker! It is therefore compulsory for each team.
A team of supporters is made up of a minimum of 2 people. The team is responsible for providing you with food, water or even more socks; above all the team is your psychological support!
Your supporters will encourage you from start to finish. They can also help you to collect sponsorship. Include them in preparations, training and collection of sponsorship.
Your supporters also need to be prepared for the Oxfam Peacewalker. A route and complete programme will be sent to them by way of a “roadbook” so that they are able to follow you perfectly and be present for the length of the course.
In the months leading up to the Oxfam Peacewalker, supporters will also receive a Newsletter outlining all the practical information that they will need to best accompany their team. During the event, they will follow from check point to check point in their own means of transport.
We will also put together a check list so that the team of supporters doesn’t forget anything. This list can be amended during preparations but gives a good idea of the supporters’ help.
